Sharon Ud Georgewill is a young professional and Pan-Africanist, passionate about technology and development. She is currently the Regional Director for International Youth Federation in Africa, a product designer/manager, and a serial entrepreneur who has had opportunities to work with large international technology and youth organizations like Google Inc, WAAW Foundation, AIESEC, CHAI, IYF, ALL & WEF, etc. From starting her career as a research and media manager for a startup company years ago to managing cross-cultural exchange experiences and providing youth leadership development in various countries, she has had several roles in other organizations delivering operational change, using her growing expertise in applying software solutions into managing projects for companies. As an advocate for the girl child and women, Sharon serves as a mentor, empowering girls and young women to discover their purpose and vision as well as maximize their potentials, especially in the technology sector. She got awarded “Iconic woman creating a better world for all” by the Women Economic Forum, India in 2017, amongst other phenomenal women around the woman driving positive changes. Sharon is generally interested in creating digital startups that will catalyze economic development in Africa and deep down also shares in the belief that every woman can shape the world and make significant changes irrespective of the challenges around them.
